Your Photos - Print them or Lose them!

Fujifilm Insepcting Photo Film Negatives

We know for a fact that there are more images being taken these days than ever before. BUT we also know that the vast majority of these will never be printed.

Most are stored on our mobile phones, on hard drives or in the cloud. There is strong evidence to suggest that many of these images will be lost forever. This is due to the fast moving changes in technology and the way we store our data. I’m sure many of you like me have VHS videos but with nothing to play them on?
If this becomes the case then the joy of finding historic prints in shoe boxes in the loft of family members, loved ones and old friends may never be experienced.

Is it therefore not the duty of professional photographers and labs alike to encourage people to Print it rather than lose it?

This is the belief of 'Father of the Internet' Vint Cerf who believes that 'history could be lost in a black hole'.

According to Cerf "We’ll just be unknowns. Forgotten, because our technology was not good enough to remember", and we agree! As the above video from Fuji states 'turn moments into memories' by printing your photography before you lose it forever.
